BOURNVILLE LEAGUE GAME TO GO AHEAD

Despite the cold artic snap, Bournville's Midlands 1 league game against Kenilworth RFC will still go ahead tomorrow as planned, KO 2:45pm. Kenilworth will change in the changing rooms next to the 3G pitch. Bournville and the referee will change in the Munrow Centre and then head to the pitch.

Thanks to The Univerisity of Birmingham's state of the art facilities and Kenilworth agreeing to our request, the game will now be played on the 3G facility at Pritchatts Park which is a rubber crumb artificial surface.

Beer and hot drinks will be available during the match from Pritchatts Park Social Club where there is ample parking for spectators. - Our Mini's & Junior's play at this facility so please follow the link for directions - click here.

After the game we will go to the Munrow Sports Centre for post match hospitality where we can watch Englands opening 6 Nations game against Scotland KO 5pm.

 
Dunlop 16 - 57 Bournville, Saturday 28th January 2011

BOURNVILLE RECOVER IN JEKYLL & HYDE PERFORMANCE

Following an impressive victory over Burton, Bournville had the ‘long’ coach trip to Dunlop, a team fighting relegation. Dunlop are currently second from bottom and have had some heavy defeats in 2012 with losses to Walsall, Stratford and Sutton Coldfield. Bournville were still on a high after last week’s win and were looking to continue their decent run of form. Bournville made a number of changes in the pack with Rob Sigley, Dai Hallmen and Hesy Fakatou coming into the starting line-up and Rob Griffin moving to the back row. There was one enforced change with Alex Warner’s hamstring not sufficiently recovered from last week’s injury. Rod Petty moved to outside half with Steven Rice coming in a scrum half.

BOURNVILLE TURN ON THE STYLE IN 9 TRY ROMP

After last week’s tight result against Lichfield, Bournville returned to the University to face another in form side, Burton. Having started the season slowly Burton have produced some good rugby in 2012, narrowly losing away to Sutton Coldfield and winning comprehensively against Walsall. Bournville were able to welcome back the league’s leading try scorer Robin Eatough to the side after a 3 month layoff. Dan Barratt also returned to the wing to give Bournville a very attacking backline.

Lichfield 29 - 32 Bournville, Saturday 14th January 2012

BOURNVILLE SHOW THEIR GRIT IN DOGGED BATTLE AT COOKEFIELD

Bournville continued 2012 with a tough away fixture to Lichfield, one of the inform teams in the league. Bournville were able to recall talented hooker Dean Bick up after a 2 month absence through injury. Ian Coles, Simon Homer, Carl Colvin and Adam Coniff also returned to the starting line-up.  Lichfield had beaten Walsall last week and they were looking to continue their good run of form at home.
