A cry off from Handsworth late on Friday forced us to accept the pool fixture away to Droitwich.

After getting to the ground and seeing the level of the facilities, a few concerns were raised over whether we would be playing a genuine third team, or they would 'stuff' us.  This was echoed as they scored in the first minute following an attempted 'champagne style' pass by one of our players, no names mentioned Danny, which they intercepted and then ran it in from their own 22.

Following this Bournville bucked up their ideas and started playing some well structured and supportive rugby.  The final score really showing what we can achieve when we back each other up at the breakdowns, and recycle the ball quickly. 

Forwards man of the match went to Danny Hughes despite his first pass, and the backs award went to hat-trick hero Phil Swinburn.  I just wish I could have given out 15 man of the match awards.
