Bournville's second team took the field aiming to halt the slide that has seen them lose their unbeaten record with some below par performances in the last two weeks.

Bournville made it 8 wins out of 8 so far this season after getting the better of a physical Aston Old Eds side in a bruising encounter on the Rowheath playing fields.

With the first team aiming to gain a victory over recent rivals, Old Hales, the second team travelled the hour and a half to Ludlow in an attempt to maintain their unbeaten run this season.

Bournville 2s maintained their 100% record for the season with a solid performance against Bridgnorth in the North Midlands Reserve League.

With thoughts and memories of Harry Tempest, both teams took a minutes silence before kick off on a beautiful sunny afternoon at Rowheath.

Having blown away the majority of the early season cobwebs last week against Old Salts, Bournville started brightly and immediately began to use their larger pack to make inroads into the Camp Hill defence.
